De financial system is a soucouyant
Yuh not getting value for yuh dollar
Yuh afraid to collect yuh pay
Because yuh have no money by the next day
De soucouyant only sucking
She don't care if yuh getting thin
She looking for blood
She keeps on sucking
Merchants seek high profit margins
So, high prices they keep on charging
The supermarket prices high high
Only a few items yuh can afford to buy
De soucouyant only sucking ........
People have their own agendas
Get rich quick and don't care for one another
Is it fair for some to be filthy rich
While their fellowmen grovel in the ditch
De soucouyant only sucking ........
When the cost of goods and services keep rising
Salaries and wages must keep increasing
The net result of this situation
Is a serious issue of hyperinflation
De soucouyant only sucking ........
We have to take matters into our own hands
The answer is at our own command
Only when we no longer shop until we drop
Then de soucouyant will stop.
