Little Darling

She was an older woman

And he was her little darling

He made her feel so good

She wanted to be with him

as much as she could

He was full of charm

She would hug his arm

She felt that she had found the answer

In her sweet younger partner

But soon he began to borrow money from her

To pay for this, that and the other

First he needed a loan to pay his rent

He was expecting a cheque and would

    repay every cent

Next he wanted another loan

This time it was to pay for his ‘phone

Then she learnt of his other lady on

    the other side of town

Whom he was treating in the same fashion

She told him to go away

The loans he must repay

In court he said the money was a gift

The judge declared “Judgement for the plaintiff”

I cannot dance

I want to dance and dingolay
I want to prance and break away
But when I remember Daniel Guerra
I have to sit and ponder
Little Daniel lived with his grandmother
He was sent to the village parlour
From there he went missing
His body was later found in a river floating
Guerra was last seen getting into a silver coloured
car
How he met his death is still very unclear
I want to dance and dingolay
I want to prance and breakaway
But when I see the young gansters
I have to sit and ponder
This is such a burning shame
But, are we as mothers to be blamed
Or is the school system failing the children
Is it failing to inspire them
Or is it simply our jam and wine society
Where everything is a joke for everybody
I want to dance and dingolay
I want to prance and break away
But when I check the statistics on crime
I cannot dance at any time
Government and Opposition pass the blame
They seem to be playing a game
We have a new foreign Police Commisisioner
But still he does not have the answer
I want to dingolay and prance
But I just cannot dance.

Hey Girl

Hey Girl,
You are all alone and feeling blue
Your love has left you
But you never treated him right
You were always picking a fight
You wanted him to buy you fancy clothes
And all the latest shoes
When he lost his job you showed no concern
You were never available when he phoned
When he was hospitalised recently
You visited one day, and only briefly
His new friend was compassionate and understanding
And attended to his needs without complaining
She filled that gap that you left open wide
She did not even force her way inside
She simply did what you did not do
Now, he no longer needs you
You have proven to be very superficial
His new love is more total
Move on girl, your heart is cold
Check elsewhere, go dig your gold
You are nothing but a gold digger
Nothing but a dirty, selfish gold digger

Hey Dude

Hey Dude,
You are treating that girl so rude
During the week you text her every day
All you want to do is play
You date her on a Tuesday
Bring flowers, but for the meal she has to pay
On Friday your phone becomes unavailable
She spends her weekend watching cable
On Monday you reappear suddenly
With sweet promises you court her warmly
You play this game over and over
You are only a dirty player
May be you have a girl for every day of the week
She is only one of the pleasure givers you seek
Stop wasting her time
Stop hurting this friend of mine
It is a shame that you only care about you
All your words are so untrue
Move on boy, you are just a player
Nothing but a dirty, lying player

ON THE PLATEAU LOVE

Some persons only show care
At the beginning of a new love affair
As soon as this affair becomes old
They become distant and cold

But when we develop a love relationship
And we become a strong partnership
We can refer to the above
As being on the plateau of love

The plateau of love need not be boring
Partners must make it interesting
Partner are individuals too
And can retain individuality in what they do

On the plateau of love there is sometimes disagreement
But this can be handled because of love and commitment
Each partner may perceive a situation differently
Because of differences in culture and personality

Partners should spare time to bother
To continuously learn more about each other
By developing such an interest
They can make their partnership a success.

As partners grow old together
They should continue to love each other
At the end of their lives together
They should be dancing on the plateau of love
