Shakespeare, Wordworth, Keates and others were fine
But we need to shift the paradigms
While we still consider the old
New poetry and verses must unfold
We live in an evolving society
And so must our poetry
We need to consider new rhymes
As we shift the paradigms
Our vernacular provides rich expression
For our thoughts and inspirations
Therefore, we should not seek validation
But find a new dispensation
Do not forget we are a people of rhythm
Not to mention our many idioms
So while Shakespeare and others are fine
Let us create modern poetry for this time
